*Walks in to LEARN*

Pinespirit looked from some herbs to Leafpaw. "Hello, Leafpaw," she mewed, "i'm guessing you're ready.." She quickly stood up and guided Leafpaw over to a white web. "Your first lesson is to be familiar with a couple herbs." she leaned down and picked up the white web with her paw. "This is a Cobweb. Cobwebs are used to stop bleeding. They can be found about anywhere, but usually small dark places," she purred. She walked towards a sweet-smelling herb. She picked it up with her paw, "This is Catmint. It is used to ease pain and help to cure Greencough, Blackcough and Whitecough. You have to gather it and press it into wounds to stop bleeding. Generally, it's only used with wounds that risk bleeding heavily." She flicked her ear towards a golden flower. "Marigold Leaves. Used to treat infection and heal wounds and sores. It WILL sting." she explained. She looked at another herb, "Goldenrod. Used in a poultice (chewed up roots and leaves) to treat aching joints and stiffness. It can also be used for severe injuries. Rub it onto the spot that aches." Pinespirit padded towards some red berries. "One last herb-- Deathberries (Yew). A cat can die in seconds with one of these because there is a deadly poison inside. If someone eats one, tell me immediately." she meowed, curling her tail around her body.

*Nods*Alright I'll remember everything!

Pinespirit chuckled. "Tomorrow i'll ask you about these herbs- so you'd best be ready! And i'll probably take you around FlameClan territory to find a delicious herb.." she smiled, and licked her lips just thinking about it.

*Eyes brighten*Ok!!

Pinespirit licked her apprentice's head in a 'congrats' and she slowly padded out of her den to looked at the sun. It was sinking in the sky.

*Smiles at my prise and wacthes my mentor*

Pinespirit blinks at the setting sun, and she licked her paw and washed her face.

Firepaw:Hello Leafpaw,hi Pine!

Pinespirit flicked her ear, and looked at Firepaw. "Oh, hello, Firepaw," she mewed, smiling at her, "are you having a good day?" She had nothing else to talk about, except herbs and StarClan, but that was a medicine cat's business. (and a meddie cat apprentice's too!)

(Firepaw is a girl just tom-boy ish XD)
F~*Yawns*Yes!I caught some prey for you!*Drops a vole*

Pinespirit looks down at the vole and sniffs it. "Thank you, Firepaw!" she exclaimed, quickly taking a bite out of the rodent gratefully, "have you learning a lot of hunting and fighting techniques lately?" The vole was gone, and all that was left was a couple bones and blood. She purred in content. She almost forgotten how hungry she was. But also, embarrassment washed over her. "I'm sorry, Leafpaw. Did you want some, too?" she asked, feeling greedy.

L~NO,I'm fine.*Looks at Firepaw*
F~I'm learning tons Im so happy!
L~*Sighs and looks at paws*

Pinespirit looked at her apprentice. "First, let me quiz you." she shuffled her paws as she thought. "What herb helps stop bleeding, and are mostly found in small, dark places?" she waited, then quickly added, "And once you answer that, the next question is, What herb helps with Greencough, Whitecough, and Blackcough?"

"Correct!" she laughed, "now, what helps treat infection, and heals wounds and sores? And also, what herb treats aching joints and stiffness?"

Pinespirit laughed. "We didn't learn those yet! It's Goldenrod and Marigold!" she mewed, "well, we can go look for herbs now, then." She looked around, then at the entrance. Without haste, she started padding towards the entrance/exit.
